Welcome, friend! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Amy – mum, book lover, and creative soul living in Devon. I’m currently on a sabbatical to rediscover joy, build my dream business, and live a life inspired by my love of reading.

With a background in photography and years of reviewing books online, I now blend storytelling with design to create content for fellow readers, dreamers, and small business owners.

Here you’ll find bookish inspiration, seasonal self-care, cosy lifestyle ideas, and gentle encouragement to follow your passions — all served with a side of tea and Tolkien references.

Pull up a chair, pour a cuppa, and stay awhile.

FAQ

In one way or another, I’ve been sharing my love of stories online for over a decade.

It all began in 2013 when I started a book review YouTube channel and Instagram account. I spent years immersed in the world of advanced reader copies, book launches, author chats, and the joyful community of fellow readers. It was one of the most fulfilling times of my life – creating content, building connections, and being part of the book world in such a hands-on way.

After a break to focus on my career, become a mum, and navigate some big life changes, I felt the pull to return – but this time, with a gentler pace and a broader vision. In early 2025, I launched The Fabled Pages, a cosy blog and creative hub where I could bring together my love for storytelling, design, and slow living.

So while The Fabled Pages is still in its early chapters, my blogging journey has been a long and lovely one — rooted in a love of books, a flair for creativity, and a desire to help others build a life that feels a little more like a story worth telling.

If you’ve ever dreamed of creating a gentle little nook online where stories and creativity entwine, you’re in the right place. I started The Fabled Pages as a way to blend all the things I love — books, seasonal living, slow mornings, digital art, and community — into one cosy digital space.

But it didn’t start here. Back in 2013, I ran a book review YouTube channel and Instagram where I’d gush about fantasy novels, attend book events, and connect with the most wonderful readers. I adored it. Life eventually shifted – motherhood, career changes, and a deep desire to do something more creatively fulfilling led me to take a sabbatical and begin again. This time, with intention.

Starting a cosy, bookish blog begins with a few simple steps:

  • Pick your niche: mine is a blend of bookish lifestyle, digital creativity, and seasonal slow living.
  • Choose your name: I went with The Fabled Pages to honour my love of storytelling.
  • Use simple tools: I started on Canva for design, WordPress for blogging, and Notion for planning.
  • Be consistent, not perfect: one cosy post a week is enough to start building your story.

Running both The Fabled Pages and my Etsy shops, Library of Rivendell and The Fabled Designs, can sometimes feel like a lot. To keep it all flowing (without losing my mind), I lean on a few key tools that make the behind-the-scenes feel much more magical.

Here are the tools I couldn’t do without:

? MailerLite – For sending out cosy emails to my subscribers. I love adding a personal touch with seasonal printables and bookish chats.

? Notion – My HQ for everything! I use it to plan blog posts, track Etsy listings, schedule social media, and even map out new product ideas. I’ve customised it into a “Cosy Creator Hub” that fits my brain perfectly.

? Canva Pro – My go-to for designing everything from blog graphics to printables and Pinterest pins. It’s intuitive, fast, and perfect for bookish aesthetics.

? Printful – I use Printful for creating print-on-demand mugs, stickers, and more with my designs. It’s been brilliant for expanding my Etsy range without handling stock.

? eRank – A lifesaver for Etsy SEO. It helps me find the right keywords, check competition, and plan seasonal listings in advance.
